Introducing Assistive Video

December 27, 2023

Today, we're launching our first product, Assistive Video. It's a generative video platform for creating high quality videos from text and image prompts.

To use it, simply type in a prompt describing what you want to see, or upload an image, and the model will generate a four-second video.

This is our first step in creating an ecosystem of platforms that make it easy to create across various modalities. Assistive Video is currently an early alpha, and we're looking forward to hearing your feedback, and to learn more about its strengths and weaknesses.

You can start creating with Assistive Video today at assistive.chat/video.

It's also available on the Assistive API to select developers. To start building with it in your own applications, sign up for access here.

Building with Assistive Video

Developers with early access to the Assistive Video API have began using it to build innovative new experiences into their applications, only now made possible by Assistive Video's generative video capabilities.

Builxt with Assistive Video: DATA - Content Creation Assistant

DATA, an AI-powered co-worker, is using the Assistive Video API to assist with creating videos for creators and businesses. With Assistive Video's text-to-video and image-to-video, they've built an assistant that can storyboard and generate complete videos for social media and more.

Next steps

We're continuing to work on improving Assistive Video. We'll soon be launching a community library, introducing support for longer videos, and introducing audio capabilities. We're also working towards making the API generally available.
